my impressions of the strat....
it looks great, the les paul looked good but this is far better, and light years better than the ghwt guitar which looks cheap to me.
now when i play sultans of swing im nearly mark knopfler, only need a headband now
where as ive only played using the LP and ghwt guitars im struggling a bit getting used to the fret buttons, but only for one reason, theyre flat.
sometimes i lose positioning a bit when sliding up and down.
i supposed the GH raised buttons helped me know where i am.
but really so far thats my only gripe.
in fact i find im playing certains things better with the strat.
for example where im finding the frets better than the gh ones is on HOPO's.
for some reason im finding it far easier to do all those intricate guitar solo hopo's. it somehow feels more fluid, i think theyre easier to press, i dont know.
im not the greatest of players, im pretty comfortable on hard(ive completed all games on hard except gh3) and i can do most expert to a decent standard(only GGHT stopping me from completing RB expert).
but just played godzilla on hard and i nearly 100% it, i only messed up on silly bits, all the solos i hit.
now the strum bar, no noise is strange at first but im finding it has its advantages.
for another strange reason i find there are certain strumming patterns i can do better with this strumbar.
ive never been great at alt-strumming, strumming the same colour over and over is fine. but sometimes when i have say RG RY RG RY RG RY fast, for example, i think the changing of the chords causes me to lose strumming rhythm.
but without the constant clicking im finding it alot easier. whether its a coincidence i dont know.
so if i can just get used to the flat frets and not lose position then this strat will be perfect for me(oh and dont forget the headband

)
