RAW v TIFF

    Are RAW files bigger than TIFF files?

    No.....RAW's from my dslr come in at about 11-12MB. Once they are converted they can be 50-60MB in 16bit.

    RAW files are about 9.5 MB from my Dimage 7i, TIFFs are around 14MB, straight out of the camera.

    I generally find 16bit Tiffs are around 5 times the size of their RAW file.
