raw or pcm audio out?

    hi

    my dvd player (ronin p90h) has 2 audio out settings for digital cables, spdif/raw and spdif/pcm, the manual says i can use either..

    whats the difference ? :confused:

    I would guess that the pcm setting would output a stereo bitstream only, whereas the raw bitstream could be decoded by your amp to give DD5.1/DTS/etc.

    Try it !
