Question Raspberry Pi for Bartop Arcade

Hi all,

Just a quick one hopefully, I'm attempting to put together a Bartop Arcade machine using a Raspberry Pi 3B and just wondered where best to source the bits I'll need (and also to get a rough idea of the bits that I'll need!). I'm hoping to be able to buy everything I need in one place, and want to run RetroPie rather like this:
2-Player Bartop Arcade Machine (Powered by Pi): 19 Steps (with Pictures)

I'm guessing to start with I should just buy the Raspberry Pie 3B itself along with a 64GB memory card, but I'm not sure whether I'll need a fan or not. Is a heat sink or two sufficient for my purposes? Finally, I also have a VGA monitor that I'll be using - is the HDMI to DVI cable the right beastie for this?

HDMI and DVI are the same digital video signals just different connectors. VGA is analogue video. So as it stands no the cable isn't right.
