(this is on behalf of one of my mates who has been trying to get sky+ installed)

Hi,

When he first found out about the loyality offer he rang sky and was told the package was 259 for the box and installation and then 10 pound for the subscription. He told them that he didnt want his other box reloacted because it didnt fit in the bedroom (???)

The installation date was set for 9th September and so he took some time of work and waited for the engineer. Upon arrival the engineer said that he was unable to install as the disk was too high up, even though a sky engineer had previously installed the dish in the same location.

So onto today, the new date for the installation - and sure enough they physically installed the disk way up high and also fitted the box ... switch it on and ....

registration failed !!!!


This was because the sales guy had put him down for the full Sky+ installed (ie relocation of the other box) and becuase they were not doing this the card would not work ....

Now the package they have left him with does not include SkySports , movies etc ..... He is not impressed as the England game is tomrrow ... major pi&&ed off ...

So even though he has been waiting for sky+ for 2 months now he still has not got it ....

I was thinking about getting Sky+ myself in the next few weeks .. is this the norm or a one off ?

Providing the price is agreed and the subscription chosen, there is no reason why the card and Skyplus+ wouldn't be activated immediately.
Ring 08705 800 800 and speak to a supervisor.
Definitely not a one-off but not the norm.
