Just a warning. The transfer on Ran is pne of the worst I've ever seen on a DVD.

    There is a better re-mastered version (£15 i think)

The pic quality is stunning. I sold my previous copy because of the crap quality.

    Worth the extra money.

The new R3 version is a new version, based on StudioCanal master, and its very good, although unfortunately dvdbeaver didn't have it included in their Ran comparison test, so I don't know how much better the R2 version is, which was the clear winner.
I'm sure the R3 version isn't far behind as the StudioCanal master is actually what Warner Bros used for the R2, the only thing different really from what I can see is how the transfer to NTSC R3 resulted.

BTW, I can't figure out where to send questions to dvdbeaver, as I wanted to request if they could update the test by including the R3 version. If anyone finds the way, can you do it for all of us?

    Many Thanks ;p
