The instructions of some caddied RAM media I have says the media will revert to forced verify mode if it's removed from the caddy. Can anyone tell me what this means and what the consequences are?

I have an E50 and was thinking of buying this Panasonic dvd writer for my PC.

    Hi

This relates to data recording. It simply means once removed a PC Writer will not let you turn verifying off, so it will write and read back to check it was recorded okay whether you want it to or not.

I do not think this makes any difference with set-top recorders as it isn't so important to have 100% data integrity on Video.

    Regards
