Having a read of this looks like driving games are starting to be an absolute must in the Xbox line up. They have steadily improved from PGR1 up to this shining preview. I for one am looking forward to all these A1 titles that are coming out this year.
What with Doom3/HL2/Full SpW/Halo2, to name but a few, Jeez I think somebody is going to have to extend the paltry 24 hrs we have in a day.:)

I have my beedy eyes on this one! I prefer dirt to tarmak anyday, and the Live will be cool for a raly game! Damn, wish I could use my Logitech PS2 steering wheel on my Xbox.

I picked this up Friday, brilliant fun, but like the first is very arcadey so might not be for everyone. Most fun I've had with a car game since Sega Rally on the Saturn.

Does anyone know how the multiplayer works with this one? I can't find any info in any of the reviews I've read about the online play :(

I've heard it's either 4 max (which would be bad), or 16 max (which would be ace!)?

Got thi in at work this morning, and must say it looks outstanding fun, graphics have had a hugh overhall from the 1st one, and the crashing looks top fun as well.

The features listed on the back of the box are:
Players 1-4
Custom Soundtrack
In-Game Dolby Digital
System Link 1-16 Players
Full 'Live' Compatibility (eg Headset, Content, Friends, Scoreboards, Multiplayer)

Thinking of setting up an early XSN compo if there's any interest. It'd be with just basic settings, as we're all new to this. Anyone? (show of hands please, and I'll send out the invites)

:hiya: I'd be up for that, although I doubt I'll get hold of my copy 'till next wednesday, damn, can't wait to get my mitts on it! But it's fair to say I'll never be a pro at any game, never put enough hours into one game, or do I just have too many games  so if people that play for fun are welcome, count me in :smashin:

Same here mate, know I'll never be the best (I always end up spreading myself too thinly across all the quality titles), but its about the crack. Like supporting a crap footy team (I'm a Man City fan btw)...

I picked it up on Friday, and have to say that it's better than I expected. I'd heard all the complaints about twitchy handling, but to be honest it's not that bad. It is twitchy and arcady, but once you've played it for half an hour it's actually a lot of fun to drive. And very challenging on Pro level. There's not much feeling of inertia or weight, but it's not as floaty as RSC1. You need to drive well to not crash too - you can't just throw the car into the turns at as silly a speed as you could in the last one. And some of the stages are massive too, which really adds to the enjoyment :)

I've raced a few rallys, some rally cross (the Pro level AI take no prisoners...) and a few hill climbs and it's all really good fun. Not tried it on Live yet - figured I'd get some practice cos it's a lot harder to play well than the first one.

Overall, my first impressions are good. Needless to say, it looks incredible. But better than that, it's a blast to play :). A nice change of pace from Toca2 and PGR2

Picked this up on friday and have just finished it on championship level all cars and tracks unlocked  i played about 8 hours on live with a great bunch of lads and could not stop laughing.

The graphics are awesome and i love how the cars handle ect ect ;) i've had pgr2 & played a fair bit of toca2 both great games but for me Rsc2 is better.

See you's online guy's but be warned i play for a laugh so if you like clean racing do NOT join me

I can totally recomend this game to anyone really good fine online. I just wish I could drive a whole race without actually hitting a lamp post, another car, a fence, a sign post, the grass, a hill, some rocks - well you get the picture I think I managed to hit about every obstacle out there last night.
