First of all WTF.

Is this reading right or is it assuming I have an intel chip ??? if not is a 3500 sufficient for reccommended specs as there are no 3.5ghz AMD processors out yet (I dont think)

it does the same thing for me with an athlon x2 3800+

It does it with a Conroe E6600 Core 2 Duo.

Not surprised as its a Ubisoft game. Bug city.

I think its because these CPUs don't actually run at 3.5ghz. Their names are supposed to reflect their speed in use rather than Mhz.
