I have a sky minidish hooked up to a sony box. (I recently changed from a Panasonic as it packed in completely)

When the weather is fine the signal strength is 80% and quality is 70%.
The other day it started to rain as I was watching and suddenly I lost signal altogether. the quality signal had dropped to about 40%. When the rain went away it went back up again and the picture came back on. (Signal strength stayed almost the same, just dropped slightly).

    Is this a common problem?

Is it a dish alignment problem or is there another solution to it?
At first I thought it was water in the wiring but the fact that it came straight back on when the rain ceased leads me to believe this is not the case.
Also if it is dish alignment, is this easy to DIY just by climbing a ladder and moving it about a bit or am I being a naive newbie :)

any help would be greatly appreciated.
