Not too sure myself as I really didn't see your offer.

Edit - Got these from the rules:
    20. If a vendor reduces the price for a potential purchaser, that price becomes the new asking price for all. However, the item is reserved for that potential purchaser for 1 hour to accept that offer before others can buy it at the new price. (This is known as 'the one hour rule'.)
    21. The first unconditional offer of the asking price secures the sale unless it's stated otherwise in the listing (e.g. Bulk or Trade Preferred) The vendor cannot accept an offer higher than the asking price.

I suppose it's ok for me to accept Nape Dog's offer? But reading it again it seems like it should go to you. Hmm...

    Should i be accepting the £17? :)
I would have gone with that just thought I'd chance £16. If the mods are to be involved, of course ill abide by their ruling.

I think rule 20 overrides rule 21 meaning I have an hour to accept the new asking price. Which I Am happy to do so. Of course if rather pay £16 then £17 :)

    Offers £15 for the iPod

Counter offer of £17 from Dslr. Nape Dog now has an hour to accept...

...Which he doesn't. He makes another offer. Hour rule now void.

Sarg0r offers new asking price of £17 and secures.

Acceptance not on thread so irrelevant.

    Regards

    Apsilon

No and usually if they do reply, they'll reply in the thread itself. I do have the iPod with me so yes, I can post it out today but only if the payment is sent by PPG as I do not have my banking device with me.

Edit: Just saw the mod's post above so you'll have a reply soon.

    Many thanks Apsilon.

sorry, tried to multi quote above (my first time) but appear to have messed it up. essentially, I offered £16, Dslr accepted that and whilst writing confirmation of acceptance, sarg0r made an offer of asking. As Dslr had already accepted my offer and was in the process of replying, is it right my accepted offer is disregarded?

Thanks. Feel a bit silly as don't want to make a fuss and make your sale more difficult than necessary, just want to be clear on the ruling
    Thanks

No it didn't. This is the reason we ask for all communication to remain on thread until a deal is agreed. It provides total transparency.

Regardless of the fact the OP changed his mind on your offer of £16 (which he initially refused on thread), because he agreed with you via PM before posting on thread, it was rendered void as his acceptance came after Sarg0r had already offered asking and as per the trading rules, Sarg0r secures.

    Hi Apsilon,

I can confirm that no communication was done with Nape Dog off thread. No PM was exchanged. All communication was done on thread.
    Thanks.

Eerrrr I'm confused. No PMs have been exchanged and all coms are on thread. I have never dealt via PM and never will. I'm stil not sure apsilon is viewing this correctly.

The first 5 posts for clarity:

    OP

    OFFER

    COUNTER OFFER

NEEDS TO ACCEPT TO SECURE - DOESN'T, SO HOUR RULE GONE

OFFERS ASKING AND SECURES - END OF!

    WHAT AM I MISSING????

You made reference to a deal being agreed via PM which never happened and was never even alluded to on the thread which is why i felt you were not viewing this correctly. Hopefully that part is clear enough for you to understand.

I'll leave this now however, I feel that the decision to accept my offer was made before Sarg0r's asking price offer was made and it isn't my fault that the written acceptance was made after the offer by Sarg0r.

Ahh, I see what you mean. Reading through it looked like the OP had accepted your offer via PM instead of posting his acceptance on thread before Sarg0r.

Dslr, may have indeed decided to sell to you but, until that confirmation is on thread, then it is open to all and Sarg0r took full advantage of that.
