For anyone considering this upgrade for your i-pod, let me assure you it's stunning. Have tried 4 different sets of headphones from £15 bog standard to £100 sound cancelling.
Volume and equalizer on the i-pod can be turned off and the whole lot controlled from the unit, the extended musical range and extra volume is amazing.
Highly recommended.
