Tbh I'd never heard of him until I read the news of his death yesterday.

Never listen to Talksport - always try and avoid anything associated with Kelvin MacKenzie ;)

    RIP anyway ...

I think I remember him from the early days of LBC. My older brother used to listen to his phone in show.
He had a very matter-of-fact voice.

He always made for entertaining listening and wasn't as rude as the people who try to immitate him these days. If I were him I would have made sure that they'd put "My health is not in question" on my headstone :)

I enjoyed his show very much, very sad to learn of his death. James Whale is hosting a tribute show tonight on Talksport.

Yeah terrible news. Couldn't believe it when i heard. The guy was a big part of my working day for years when he did the 10-1 slot. Cant listen to it now that idiot Gaunt does the show. Dickin was a great broadcaster and when you look at his resume at least his had a full life.

    RIP Mike.

He used to be on GLR, BBC radio for London. Gaunt is a complete and utter git. If he didn't agree with any of the callers he would accuse them of interrupting him, when he actually interrupted them, and cut them off.

Vanessa Feltz now does his show and gives everyone a chance to have their say.

I quite like Gaunty...in any case James Whale's tribute show show last night was good, very appropriate.
