Afternoon All,
I think I am going mad as I cannot fathom why I cannot get DTS to my amp over coax from my Duo2 using Plex (Dreamplex - stream or local) connected to the XE via HDMI. Only get 2 channel unless I connect an optical cable from DUO2 to XE. Digital downmix etc on the DUO2 is set to off and as far I have read the DUO2 will output DTS over HDMI.
The XE has a custom global 'always' Audio EDID with all the supported 2 - 7.1 channel options selected (bar 192k and HD audio formats) HDMI1 and 2 are set to On and SPDif to Norm.
Setup is for this input is:
DUO2 via HDMI to XE
XE to Darbee to Pio 600A
XE to MC12-HD via COAX
DUO is connected to the MC-12 by coax as it is run under the floor and do not have a spare 10+m HDMI to try directly but this maybe next on the list to try I guess, but as DUO won't support HD audio seems a little bit of a waste. Bluray is connected directly to MC12
My only thought is something further up the HDMI chain is reporting only supporting 2 channels - but thought the global EDID would overide this?
Optical does achieve what I need but intrigued as to why HDMI won't...
Any help would be much appreciated.
