    Hi

Could someone give me some info about overclocking a Radeon 9700 Pro?

I also need a TV card - would I be better off swapping to an all in wonder or a separate card?

    Thanks

My Sapphire (early model, actual ATI card) OC'ed very well.

IIRC, the GPU did 370 no probs with the stock cooler. Mem did 350ish (700DDR).

Watercooled it a few days after I got it (DD block) & ram-sinked the memory.

    Been @ 415/370 (or 415/740 - ddr) since (6 months) without any problems. Benchs @ 430/770

I use Powerstrip to overclock (need it for custom resolutions for PJ anyway) & recommend it.

Better (IMO) to get a separate capture card but depends what you want to do I suppose. IIRC, AIW cards don't work with Dscaler - THE best app for PQ improvement from a capture card.

    :)

i have a 9700 np and i can get my gpu to pro speed but not my memory because i have the slow 3.3ns one.
maybe you have to flash your bois to be able to overclok but some cars like saphire don't need to be flashed.

I use Rage3D Tweak to overclock my card and it works well.

    Good Luck

    Peace
