the making of documentary is cut by 13 seconds to remove all sexual expletives to gain a "U" cert. A "15" cert. was available, but declined.according to rewind dvd im not a huge star wars fan myself but it still is bad when things like this happen.nullweb page

    Silverback,

WHilst I agree with what you say, it would be a real sales-plummeter if SW:TPM was classified as "15" just because of 13 seconds of swearing in the extras disc! So, it's not that surprising that Fox decided to cut it, to keep the "U" certificate. I mean from a "U" to a "15" is a hell of a jump - upping the rating by 3 times the strength of the film! However, if you really want the uncut version, then get the R1 version, as extras on R1 DVD's don't need to get an MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) certificate!

I should say I've not yet watched the docco on this disc, but, I understand that the swearing has been 'bleeped' out anyway on the R1 release

The swearing sounds very out of place anyway. You're not missing anything.

I have the region 1 version. During the documentary Rick Macullum swears several times, but these are blanked out.

However, during the filming of a stunt sequence Ewan McGregor swears and it is left in. May be the yanks didn't understand his scottish accent?
