Does anyone know if the R12 interface works with the new generation of SIM2 players such as the HT300E, and would there be a degradation of the signal, when using analogue RGBHV., through the link cable, as against DVI (D)?

The latest generation of Sim2 projectors ie the Domino range and the Grand Cinema range are not designed to be used with the R12 interface.

When you say link cable, are you referring to the fibre optic link between the DOIP and the 300E Link ? If so there is no loss of quality using the 300E Link/fibre optic cable and DOIP compared with the 300E stand alone unit.

The 300E Link with the DOIP gives you many more inputs and the advantage of keeping your video cables very short and only having one feed to the projector.

A digital feed such as HDMI or DVI will give you a much cleaner picture ( less noise) than an analogue RGBHV feed will.
