Watched this last night, picture is stunning and sound is superb. The story loses its way at times but the film is as good but not better than The Mummy. Worth buying though... £15.99 from Play247.

Region 4 is the way I went. Must say I'm well impressed with the service of Ezydvd. My first time using them, I won't hesitate to use them again. Price is top notch too!

Ordered my copy of The Mummy Returns from Play on Friday morning last week and it arrived first thing on Monday!!!! I can't really complain about the service but I think there is a problem with the DVD. From the opening scene the volume is very irratic, normal then very quiet and this happens thoughout the movie. Has anyone else encountered this problem? I have tried different films to make sure its not my equipment.

R4 is NOT cut, jeez how on earth do these things start? UK R2 only is cut 1 second, headbutt by Rachel Weisz.

R2/R4 have DTS, R1 does not. R1 does not have DTS because it has a French DD5.1 track instead for the Canadian Marketplace.

R2/4 are 2 Disc Sets whereas R1 is single disc. There may be a slightly improved pic on R2/4 as a result but the R1 image is flawless.

I have just finished watching TMR and was ultimately disappointed.

2 hours plus or CGI eye candy, but little else. (Should have been called ILM Returns..Again)

In a desperate attempt to out do it's predecessor, it sacrificed plot and character development for "join the dot" storyline to link the action sequences.

It lacked all the charm, tongue in cheek humour, that made the first movie so enjoyable. Big mistake in introducing a child in to the equation.

Also, check out the establishing shot of the London skyline at night. Since when has St Pauls been on the South bank and the Houses of Parliament behind Tower Bridge?

OK, for low brow entertainment, this succeeded, but broadly speaking this was just another cynical Hollywood cash in.

    Why am I not surprised.
