does anyone know if the panasonic dmr-e50 will record to dvd-rw and if so will these play in the toshiba 220e.what i'm thinking is if i record to dvd ram i wont be able to play them in the tosh in the bed room ,but if i finalise to dvd-r i'll have to keep the recording, which is rather expensive for every day recording.

E50 Will only record to -RAM and -R not -RW

day to day recordings need to be done on -RAM you will not be able to play these on your 220

archiving needs to be done on -R, after finalising this will be compatable with your 220

Your only option is to buy a different second dvd player, Toshiba do some reasonably cheap -RAM players
