Quieter Onkyo LSV 501

Hi all

I have had the above 2.1 system for over a year now and on the whole I'm pleased.
Recently, I seem to be turning the volume up higher than I used to (its not just me my wife has noticed and that in itself is unusual). Standard TV used to have a volume of 25 but now I'm finding we are turning up to 40.
Is there any technical reason for this? I would also be interested in getting touch with anyone else with same system, to discuss connections etc.

Just a longshot
Does the system have a Night mode option on it
That maybe a reason for subdued sound

If its like my Sony HC theres no indication it has been selected until you hit the button again and get blasted with sound

Also check in the system setup to see if the Dynamic range control is set to Full/Max
Best set it to Off
