Quiet life

okay, so rumours of the slimline '360 are about... but I need one now, it must not wheeze as I use it as a media extender, so while we watch telly it has to be whisper quiet.

Any models do that right now?

I recently upgraded from a launch day Core to an Elite and the difference is amazing......but by no means whisper quiet.
Personally, i think the future is having everything in a well ventilated AV cupboard out of sight and ear shot !

similar story, got a launch day premium but it's put into use in the kitchen and hooked up to a widescreen monitor. Works well with the media remote as a "set top box" except for the whine.

Maybe I should just get a new one and see what it's like... £130 quid is cheap, even in these credit crunch times.
