Can I do any harm by connecting two sources to one coax digital input on an amp via a 2-1 phono splitter?

I need to connect two PC's (coax digital output only) to my amp and it's only got one coax digital input.

If both PC's are sending a signal, will the input be a merge?

    Cheers.

If your talking about an audio signal from a sound card, my guess is it will merge. But a splitter is very cheap so why not suckit and see.
