Where is a good place to buy the pro v online, with good price and fairly fast delivery?

Thanks

www.av-sales.com sell them also, ive just bought one from them. And I also got a rgb->svid converter for £47 also which you might need for any rgb sources. Don't think of using this for a dvd player, it isnt that great at that. But for other sources its pretty good. Ive not tried it in my pj yet as Im still using it with the 15" lcd flat panel offer that the have at the moment as our tv.

Hi Conor,

Try an e-mail to Scan about delivery to Ireland

At least £20 + vat I'll bet (that's what they've quoted me on several ocassions). Their best one was a quote of £60 + vat delivery on my Lian Li case (the one you saw, & liked I think).

I did get the case from them but had it delivered to a m8 in the UK & collected it when visiting - got quite a few bits from them this way.

BTW, I'll be in the UK in the next few weeks & will be getting some gear from them, so if you haven't gotten a Pro V by then let me know, I'll get one for you & either drop it off/you can collect it from me.

Chat soon,

Thanks Kramer,

But one of my many failings is that when I want something, I want it yesterday...so I did, ordered it yesterday, at £119 "what a difference a day makes" or so that song goes.
Yep I was very impressed with your PC setup and the case looks s**t-hot cool. I finally ordered The Fifth Element superbit and it arrived yestrday. I'm looking forward to checking it out in comparison to what I saw on your AE100. I really think that apart from my MT3 maybe having a slightly less obvious chickenwire effect the MT3 has alot to do to meet the picture quality I saw on your setup.

Stutter is still breaking my heart but at least I will soon know (for once and for all) if it's the pj or pc that's causing the problem when I try the prov.

BTW that "silverware" I "found" at your house was not real silver. I only got twenty quid for the lot (including your crystal) at our local car boot sale. What class of host are you that you wouldn't even leave out a good class of gear to rob...very disappointing

Conor

PS Amarok is the album that I like least by Mike Oldfield (that's why it's the only thing I didn't rob from your place) in fact it's the only one that I dislike. The best have to be TB1 and TB2

Hi Conor,

Did your ProV arrive yet ?

I got mine from Scancom - called "XGA Theater" - identical to ProV - see here

http://www.scancom.ltd.uk/products/tv4000.htm

220 euro, ordered on a Wednesday at lunchtime, delivered to my door in Dublin at 11.15am the following day ! I couldn't believe it !

I ordered over the phone and they were v helpful - their courier collection had already taken place and they got them back to collect my gizmo - I was well impressed with them on the phone and in action - they offered me the option of 14 days trial and I could return it for credit against a better gizmo which was also re-assuring.

Anyhow - would love to hear your opinion on the ProV. Whereabouts are you/what kind of PJ/how about more national bonding - PM me if you like.

See ya,

Sean G.

Funny it should all happen in your part of the world, my keene cable came today, 1/2 an hour ago in fact. Plugged in, turned on, and WOW! Picture centred, shimmering gone, pin-sharp, colours great! That's what I call £70 worth. I hope you are as well pleased with your pro-v, and the dandruff clears up too! No trace of white flakes for me now...

Hiya Maw,

What kinda cable is that then ?

What are you connecting to what, and what is the comparison being made with ?

Thanks,

It's a keene synchblaster cable, RGB scart to 15 pin VGA. I'm connecting a NTL STB to a NEC VT540 projector, it just seems to suit. It was connected with composite previously. I tried a pro-v, borrowed, but it wasn't too good for me. The pic is not as good as hcpc dvd, but it's not that far off. The scaler in my projector seems to be good, I've noticed with several other sources that it does a good job.

Apologies for my ignorance.

I have the Fifth Element DVD R2, but what is The Fifth Element superbit?

Guest
It is a range of Columbia dvd's that instead of having lots of extras/movie/soundtracks on one disc, the movie only plus one or two soundtracks is included instead. This should give a better 'bit-rating' resulting in the best picture possible. More information should be found here: http://www.cthe.co.uk/superbit/

Hope that helps.

Dean.

ps, I haven't any superbit titles myself but other people have said the increase in quality is well worth it.

Can you get Fifth Element on Superbit? Haven't seen it listed on the Superbit website, or the listings on Play.
