Can you use an integrated amp as a power amp?

I have an Arcam Alpha 10 amp and want a 10P to biamp. I have seen an ad for another Alpha 10 integrated and wonder if that would do instead.

It depends on whether the integrated amp has direct inputs to it's amp section. If so then I believe that it can act as a power amp.

    I stand to be corrected.

You can use any integrated amp as an power amp though it might be required to adjust the volume everytime.
AFAIK the Arcam10 does have one input which can be set to a fixed gain (switch on the back), as such you do not need to adjust the master volume of the integrated amp, just switch to that input (the pre-outs from the AV amp or AV pre-amp/processor connect here).
