Hi i have recently bought a Toshiba 42XV505DB LCD HD Ready 1080p and a Samsung BD-P1400 Black blue ray. Now i have connected via the HDMI cable. The problem i am having is when i turn the blueray on the tv does not switch direct to it. Instead it stays on the input 1 for my sky which is connect via scart. Is there anyway of setting it up to connect automatically?

Cheers

Excuse me nosing in on this :) Do you know why HDMI connections don't auto-switch? Its really annoying!

if you have anynet/hdmi control/viera link-ed items, then yes,you can "autoswitch",or if the tv has that option, like the panasonic plasma's..whatevr is in hdmi 1 will change over when switched on,but apart from that,no,its not like scart.

Another quick question :boring:

I have a Samsung LE40M87 tv, EP30 and a PS3.

Could I use HDMI control with these? I don't really understand how it works?

The ps3 doesn't support hdmi control (sony call it bravia theatre sync)... Bit annoying as so many other of their products have it but hey, it's just a couple of button presses... ;)

The tv has viera link but i cant seem to link it with my blueray.Any ideas?

does the blu-ray have anynet,or hdmi control options,if so,try enabling them,to see if they work.
some brands do cross work, others dont,so pot luck i guess.
