right i havent yet set up my wireless network, but i did a quick scan anyway to see if my ps3 could pick a signal up in my area. it picked up a bt homehub one. so i tried to get on to the ps network via this. i picked automatic for the IP thing and the ps3 thought about it for a few seconds and then said my search for IP address had timed out. does this mean id need to find out the IP address for the homehub or is there another way i can get round it. only trying it temporarily untill i set my own up.

cheers

You're trying to hijack someone else's internet connection? :nono:

The BT Hubs are security enabled by default so you would need the WEP key which is printed on a label on the bt hub.
