I am looking to buy a new tv....all this talk about 1080i, 720p etc is above my level.

My question is which tv would you get 32 inch 720p or 37 inch 1080i. Forget the size, which is better for picture quality 1080i or 720p?

    Thanks.

Were you thinking in terms of a conventional CRT TV or some sort of flat panel? To all intents and purposes, there aren't any 720p CRTs, and there aren't any 1080i plasmas or LCDs. Could you explain a bit more about what you're looking for?

I was looking to buy the new Philips ClearLCD set, however I am undecided on the 32 inch or 37 inch. 32 inch may be better suited to the size of my room, but it's screen is 1366 x 768p, while the 37 inch is 1920 x 1080i. Which would be ideal for SKY, football etc....I'm not interested in using my pc with it, it's just for tv
