Just bought a Pioneer DV-656a and I also have a Pioneer 925 laserdisc player.
What is the best way of connecting these two to the TV:

    925 < scart > to 656a < scart 2 through > and 656a <scart 1 > to TV

    OR

buy a scart switcher and connnect both to the scart switcher and use a further scart to connect to the TV.

I am not bothered about having to [get of my bum &] manually switch between DVD and LD, I just want to know the what will give the best picture.

    Thanks,

    JOn

    Hi Jon,

As your 925 will only output S-video or composite, why not just go with your first option and save yourself some dosh! :smashin: I take it that you're short of Scarts on the TV, so that's why you are considering using a switcher. The less components a video signal have to pass through, the better the final picture quality will be.

Yes, that's what I am going to do [first option], and have just checked it does work.

Certainly makes the cabling less of an issue [well, slightly ;) ]

    Thanks,
