Quick Question re wattage

If my amp had 90 watt output for each speaker, what wattage speaker would you recommend I go for? Ive read somewhere before that it would be better to go for a speaker with less then 90 watt, say 70 watt. Cheers

As I understand it your amp should always be more powerful than the speakers accept as underpowering the speakers causes clipping and that is more likely to damage the cones than having too much power.

If I'm wrong I'm sure there are plenty of knowledgable bods on here who can put us both right! :thumbsup:
