Right here goes, I am in need of a quick reply to my post so please be kind.

I recently returned my 32" Tevion LCD to Aldi due to the problems and bought another LCD to keep me going until another decent TV came up.

During the week Bargain Crazy had a Panasonic Viera TH37PE30CAB Plasma TV plus Free Panasonic DVD Player for £1140 which to me sounded like a good deal so I bought it.

Now I have just noticed that Aldi have now decided to sell a 42" Plasma with LG panel and 3 year warranty for £999.99

    http://uk.aldi.com/special_buys/product_291.html

some board users are now saying its not as described, the specs are wrong.

The Panny is getting delivered Friday morning so before I decide to cancel it by refusing it, out of the two which would seem the better. I will be watching normal TV, Freeview and DVD's nothing else.

    thanks

Don't be silly, the specs on the aldi have little foundation in fact. Stick with Panasonic, it'll be lovely.

So basically the Tevion uses the 3 year warranty to sell its product where as the Panny dosent need any cheap make up.
Ok it has a 3 year warranty but that doesn't mean it wont break down, it probably will.
As I will be using the TV for basic functions, I dont have sky so dont need HD it doesnt matter what bells and whistles the Tevion claims to have the Panny wins hands down even with a 1 year warranty?

Oh BTW is the above a good price for the Panasonic considering its now an old model?

I've been enjoying my TH-37PE30 for the last year. Stick with it, you won't be disappointed :smashin: £1140? [IMG] I paid £2200 for mine but that was last year and at the time a steal of a price. [IMG]

I've been following that Tevion thread in the LCD Section and it doesn't make for pretty reading. I'd steer clear of the 42" plasma, given the hassle factor that the LCD has had.
