I'm aware that the 2011 has assignable channels of amplification but wondered how flexible that is.

To cut to the chase, what I'm hoping to do is have a 6.1 speaker set-up but with the 'spare' 7th channel of amplification used to bi-amp the front centre speaker.

    Would this be possible?

    Thanks for any suggestions.

I have the VSA-AX10, and there you can only use the B-channel speakers to bi-amp the front L/R speakers. Dunno how the 2011 does things though.

Thanks for that, but I would imagine that if you do bi-amp the front L/R then you can only run the amp in 5.1?

You cannot bi-amp the centre just using the 2011. If you bi-amp the L & R then you can only run as 5.1

Thanks avdesigns, I guessed that would be the case... no harm in hoping though eh? :)
