quick question about phone line

    just wanted to know if i need to have my hd box connected to a phone line all the time?

    Depends. If it's on a contract or multiroom, YES.

    If it's not, then no. You only need it for interactive voting and ordering Box Office movies, etc.

    I think after a years contract you can disconnect it if you want.

    Yes, I've had my HD box for well over a year and I only connect on the rare occasion when I want to have a box office film.

    i dont have mine plugged in all the time sky usually send you a letter when they cant connect to the box. ( contractually you should have it always connected to a line, if you are in a 12 month contract ) i usually wait for the letter then plug it in do the ring back and that usually keeps them off for a few months
