some channels on sky digital(sky sports 1,sky news, and others) have worse lip sync problems than other channels.
I notice that on my sky signal test, signal strength is about 40% and signal quality is about 50%,my friend has over 80% for both
Could anyone tell me,if i get my sky dish better aligned, will it cure my lip sync problems,or at least improve it ?
i know plasmas do have a slight problem,i don't really notice any problem on most channels, but the bad channels on my screen are really badly out of sync. i've a 37" panasonic with a JS box.

    No it will not.

I've noticed that lip sync issue also varies by programme, outside broadcasts like Question Time can be the worst. Also programmes that were originally shot in NTSC video and converted to PAL can be very bad.

Plasma just compounds a problem that is already there in the transmission.

Only way to fix it is to delay the audio, either though your amp (if it supports delays) or through a dedicated digital delay box [see the thread].

I've noticed a delay on some Sky broadcasts, eg, yesterday, very slight but noticable on Grandstand on BBC1. It never occurs on Freeview though. (Both inputs pass through TiVo).
