Quick question about component out on my graphics card

Well-known Member
I have a PNY Geforce 9500gt gpu which has got 2 dvi and a tv out connections. It came with a adaptor that goes into the tv out and has s-video, composite and component (ypbpr) sockets I wanted to know what the quality would be like via the component to a hdtv as I do not have the leads to try it out. Would it be the same quality as a s-video connection or does it give a hd quality screen?.

Depends on how it's implemented, the PNY website describes it as an HDTV output so should support 1280x720 which is better than S-Video and Composite but you're best off checking the manual to see the actual resolutions it supports.
