OK, I can use the service menu - but I need to know how to set the settings for a PAL 16:9 picture - because as soon as I enter the service menu the set "flicks" to 4:3, and so I end up changing the settings for that mode.

I have managed to change the settings for the prog scan mode with no problem.

Also, H-AMP seems to be more of a pincushion control than a linear image width control. Is that right?

So none of the loads of people who own this set have run into this? Bizarre.

Nope - haven't had that one... Would have made it impossible to do my geometry changes, properly!
