Just wanted to know what size the file is created (approximately) when 1 hours worth video has been converted using PSP Video 9?

I'm just thinking ahead for storage options when I start to convert all my DVDs.

For that you can get away with about a 256mb, but id suggest anything movie/tv related go for a min of 512mb, but I opted for a 1mb as the worlds your oyster!

You need a total of about 6gigs free per converted DVD for the conversion. Say the DVD is 4.5gigs, the .mp4 file can climb to 1.5gig before it comes down to about 300 to 500 per film. That's at the basic PSP Video 9 Movie 2 - 2.5h setting.

OK thats cool, I was trying to get an understanding of how I could store my converted DVD's (i.e. burn them to CD) so that I don't have to convert them more than once and so that they aren't clogging up my hard drive.

    Buffdaddy,

I am waiting for the arrival though my front door of a 1Gb card - £56 delivered which didn't seem too bad, I just need a DVD drive for my PC and whats the other thing - oh yes - my PSP to arrive.

You get about 8 movies per blank DVD. Maybe 10.

I paid £62 for my 1gb card about 3 weeks ago, so £56 is a good deal. Make sure you format the card when you first put it in the PSP though.

Good luck and welcome to the world of the slab of hand held cool!

    ;)

Doh! I didn't think of burning them to DVD, probably because I don't yet have a DVD drive (well thats my excuse).

Is the process full of bugs or does it work well, is there anything I should really watch out for to get it working?

I have never had any problem converting any of my dvds or downloaded .avi files using PSP Video 9 but I may have just been lucky.

I've had no problems. Just use the PSP Video 9 Movie 2 - 2.5 hour setting and you should have no problems.
