Hiya guys, I have a WDTV Live Media Streamer that's suddenly developed serious audio sync issues, I was looking to upgrade it soon anyways. I have a desktop PC upstairs with all my files on, and its wired to the downstairs network via cables. I used the WDTV Media Server to play files.

I settled on the Popcorn Hour A500, but recently started looking at the Dune Solo 4K, also the Himedia Q10. I am pretty noob when it comes to these boxes, so need some advice.

Requirements:

- Ability to play files from upstairs PC...mostly MKV - MP4
- Supports all the top Audio Formats, DTSX etc
- 4K Picture, HDR would be a nice as well (Native 4K would be awesome)
- No audio issues on file playback
- HDD not required
- Logitech Harmony Compatible

Whats the best player out there? Budget £300.

So far I have looked into:

Dune Solo 4K
Popcorn Hour A500
HiMedia Q10 Pro

Depends who you speck to. the Nvidia shield seems to get most peoples vote.
I chose the himedia Q5 it handles everything I've thrown at it , got a helpful forum ans it's half the price of your buget

Just buy another WDTV Live is cheaper, you know it will work. Not all the new bells and whistles true.

Just a thought, hope you get sorted.☺
