Question Yamaha HTR2866

    Hi All
    Please can anyone advise how to hookup a HTR2866 to a Pioneer Turntable? I was advised by the seller of the AV receiver (HyperHIFI) that it would be possible.
    I have not been able to get it working.
    Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

    The receiver doesn't include an inbuilt phono stage which is what you'd need if connecting most moving magnet turntables to a receiver or amplifier. You can buy an external turntable pre amp to which you'd connect the turntable prior to then connecting the pre amp's outputs to either the receiver's AUDIO 1 or AUDIO 2 RCA stereo inputs. Here are some examples of such a pre amps:
