Let me first explain the setup I currently have, which I am upgrading slowly.
Current -Video - Upconverting DVD player hooked up to an LCD monitor with HDMI to DVI Cable.
Sound - I have the Logitech Z2300 Speakers connected to the DVD Player with the red and white analog composite cables.
Planning to buy a larger TV W/ HDMI blu-ray speakers etc.
But for now.. If I start the upgrading process by purchasing the Onkyo tx-sr606 Will I be able to connect the DVD player through HDMI then the Montior with the HDMI to DVI and still get audio through the analog speakers? And will the sound quality decrease? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
