Have a Rega P3 with an Elys cartridge. I've read in various places that performance can be increased somewhat by changing both the stock platter (from glass to acrylic) and the felt mat.

I know that there are other "after-market" upgrade products available for Rega decks but I was wondering what other owners had done to theirs in terms of changing the factory platter to an acrylic one and replacing the felt mat.

I did try the Ringmat XLR mat but I was a little disappointed, to say the least.

I have been looking at a couple of upgrades here:

    Do these upgrades look worthwhile?

I have a Rega Planar 3 and have done the P3 motor upgrade, but you'll already have that!
    RB600 cable re-wire was worth the £70 I paid.
Mine came with an Ortofon 510, so the last 2 times I've replaced the stylus I've gone for the 540 Mk II (5-series bodies are all the same).
Still happy with it - not the most detailed sounding deck, but it sure is nice to listen to IMO.
Haven't done anything to the platter/mat, so wouldn't know if that's worthwhile.
