Hi , I took delivery of a domino 20 last august ,had many hours of viewing(500approx) to the best of my knowledge the lamp has blown, the fan is on & the green led(i'll contact my dealer) I know there's 3000hrs or 1year on the lamp i wondered if either of you know for any reason why a lamp should blow after such a short time as i find it a bit disconcerting
    Regards
    Dave

Sorry to hear about your lamp failure.

This is unusual. However it does happen from time to time. Conversely lamps can last longer than the spec life.

I recently changed a lamp in a Domino 20 that had 7270 hours on the clock.

A lot depends on how the projector is treated. The customer who owned the above Domino would often turn it on and leave it on for the whole evening if he was going to use it for more than one session.

Lots of short power up/power down cycles will take their toll on lamp life, as will rough handling of the projector when it's on or when cooling down.

Your dealer should be able to replace the lamp FOC if it is still under warranty, ie under a year old or less than 3k hrs

Thanks Jeff , been in touch with him today he's going to come out and replace it ,i've only had it 8 months(500hrs approx). As a matter of interest will the new lamp have the same warranty and will he reset the lamp clock.
    Regards

I'm not sure on the warranty standing on the replacement lamp.

Your dealer will probably reset the lamp timer when he installs the new lamp.

Call Sim2 UK on 01825 750850 for clarification on replacement lamp warranty.
