Here is a general question that perhaps someone can help me with:

I intend to buy a plasma screen an mount it in a cabinet so that it lies face down, coming up vertically when I wish to use it. The screen will be properly mounted to a hinged door.

Will I be doing the screen any harm by changing its weight distribution, lie etc several times per week?

    Any help much appreciated. Thanks

    Paul

My understanding is that plasma screens must ALWAYS be kept vertical and they can suffer serious damage if they are put in the position that you are suggesting.

I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.

You are and you are ;)

See previous threads on this topic. Including some of Joe's comments on screens used in commercial applications.

Thanks for the replies but I am sadly none the wiser.

Is it the case that they cannot be moved frequently or not? I can't really tell from these answers.

    Thanks guys.

Don't know about frequently but Panny state in the manual to lie it flat screen down to fit the tuner/RCA board.

    Regards,
    Neil
