I am in the process of getting rid of my HC room and changing it back to a bedroom (I never got the chance to use it). I have bought the below mame machine to go in one of the alcoves.

My question is would it be possible to have the whole thing skinned in PVC?

To make it one colour so it does not stand out as much ?

I have only had it since Sunday. One turned up last week and the courier firm had trashed it. The company I bought it from drove down with a new one on Sunday.

I really like it, always had mame on the pc but playing it on an actual machine is superb. Going to install all the emulators tonight.

The quality is great, good pc inside, touchscreen monitor and it converts to a jukebox when not in mame mode.

I got it from www.candy-cabs.com, bloke called Mike.

It says on there £1k plus delivery but I got it for £975 all in.

He has quite a long waiting list now though.

I don't want it to look crap and I have the artistic skill of a gnat.

So if it was wrapped could/would a firm do it in my house? It was a mission and a half getting it upstairs I can't imagine how hard the opposite would be.

yeah , we do 70% of our work on-site so it won't be a problem, you would need to move the the bed though :D

e-mail a firm local to you a pic, and let me know the price they come back with , i can then tell you if it is a decent price

Rob will wrap it with a digital image of your choice......for free.

He's just PM'd me to that effect - but he's such a humble bloke that he does not want people to know of his generosity.

    What a guy  :D

it think you might have miss understood Russell , when i say "cut" i mean they will take a knife to the vinyl ,resulting in cut marks on the body of the machine ,

when we do a vehicle we remove everything that can be removed ,badges, trim etc etc, to miminalise the cutting

Russell, digital printers output at £4 per sqm + media(low grade vinyl -fine for your machine) = ££9.50 / £10.00 at cost per meter . the most expensive vinyl is £15.00 at 1500mm wide x 1000mm at cost

work out the sqm of your machine , add £250 for labour ,and you should be close to the cost

:smashin: Another cheaper alternative is to use a Plasti-kote spray paint.

I used one of these (it was called Flexstone) years ago to spray paint my old Commodore 64 to make it look/feel 'stone-age'. :D
