Good Morning Forum,

I have a question concerning my Denon AVC 3800, which I bought many years ago, and use in a way not intended originally (streamed music through the Digital VDP Input).

This works fine, but I cannot compare the quality with other options, because I have no idea of what is the DAC in this equipment, and if it is 24/96 capable.

I have seen that the more recent AVC 3700H includes a Texas Instrument TI PCM5102A, but this chip is much too recent to be part of my AVC 3800.

Does anybody know the answer ?

Thanks in advance

Have a look at Page 36 of the Service Manual here:-

Looks to be a Burr Brown PCM69AP. Specs here:-

And a bit of info about the AVC-3800 (1997 model).
