A few questions so bear with me...
I have Sky Q which, along with all other providers transmits in 1080i. At the moment I am using the passthrough of the Xbox One to watch TV.
My question is, which box is / should be doing the deinterlacing?
Is the Xbox One doing the deinterlacing itself before passing the signal to the TV as it's output is 1080p?
If I set the Sky Q box's output to 1080p (it's currently on 1080i) and I skip the Xbox passthrough, will the Sky Q box do the interlacing?
If I leave that as it is, will it be my Samsung (55") TV that ends up doing the interlacing?
Finally, if I've got all of that right, which one would do the best job and give be the best picture?
Thanks in advance!
