question about cable

    i'm pretty new to the av scene,iv'e just ordered rear speakers and a rel quake sub.now i'm being told i need a twisted 10m cable? will set me back an extra £40.is this normal when buying a sub.i'd have this would have been supplied in the box.

    You'll need normal speaker cable to connect your rear speakers. To do it on a budget a lot of people use normal mains flex.

    To connect your sub to an AV receiver you'll need a normal interconnect cable with an RCA plug at each end. Try www.tvcabes.co.uk and see what takes your fancy. If you want to spend a bit more and get a top notch cable you won't find better than those that Mark Grant sells in the Power Buys section. :)
