Hello, I have a Sennheiser HD 280 (not the greatest headphones, but good enough).
I was wondering how much of a sound quality difference there would be between iaudio x5 without amp and Ipod amped. I heard that iaudio x5 is very good without an amp, but its line-out is not good so that adding an amp won't do much. Is it worth spending considerably more to get an Ipod/iriver and using their line-out to the amp?

On an unrelated note, if I get a high quality sound card for the computer (such as the creative x-fi series), does that serve as an "amp"? Or would adding a separate amp help more?
