Question about 120fps on TV with HDMI 2.0

Novice Member
Hello community,

I recently got my Playstation 5 and I am a little bit confused about the whole 120fps/120hz thing. My TV is the Sony X900E which has a 120hz panel but only HDMI 2.0. Therefore I know that I won't be able to play games at [email protected] But what about lower resolutions? [email protected] should be doable, right? So Borderlands 3 in performance mode which is 1080p and 120fps should run without problems, right? But what about Doom Eternal in performance mode which runs at [email protected]? Will my TV be able to it with HDMI 2.0?

Second question: What about HDR? Can I have 120fps and HDR at the same time with HDMI 2.0?

Thanks to anyone who may be able to clarify some of my doubts.

You can do [email protected], I'm not sure about the other resolution though.

I've only tried it with borderlands 3 and hdr stayed on but honestly i went back to 60fps pretty quickly.
