Apologies straight away if I have managed to put this in the wrong forum.

I have been a Sky Go user for quite a while, not through my own user id. I recently took out sky under my own name and took the multi room option but only to get the Sky Go Extra for nothing. I had intended to use Sky Go on my Nexus 10 Tablet with a micro HDMI to HDMI cable to attach to a large flat screen TV as this on the surface seemed a lot easier than carting my laptop around.

I have discovered that Sky have disabled the HDMI interface for both Android and Apple Tablets (my wife has an apple tablet). Would any one be able to advis me on swapping my current laptop and nexus 10 for a windows dual laptop/tablet. Specifically would the windows tablet look like a laptop to Sky Go as Sky can't disable laptop HDMItransfer.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks for your reply. I still don't really understand how the PS3 thing works but as I don't have one its probably irrelevant. I can access Skygo via HDMI from my laptop as Sky can't close this avenue and I am just wondering whether to ditch my Nexus and current laptof for a windows touch screen laptop or duplicate type device. Would a tablet runnuning windows look to Skygo as a tablet or a laptop.

Sebastian, again many thanks. I am not too interested in the quality just a mechanism for going from tablet to big screen, my wife has an IPAD but I went for the Nexus because of the exrea connections provided HDMI, USB. I think I will look to go for a Windows tablet.
