quck phillips lcd question?

after messing around wth the settings for a while on my 9986 i seem to be having trouble with my pc connected to the tv via hdmi to dvi i cant set sharpnes or digital options but can set contrast coloure and brightness also i set my resolution to 1280,720p so anyone using this tv with there pc and seem to be happy with there settings could you please let me know what ther are,thanks in advance.:smashin: :smashin:

You don't have the option to adjust sharpness since it's direct digital connection, in fact if you did have sharpness option it'll make it look worse. I found best picture was a native resolution with no stretching, so try and output native or near native (ideally 1366x768 if that's not possible 1360 x 768 but choose a non stretching mode) I found standard PC setting not 1280i or 720p had the best picture (different TV though but should be the same)
Use your eyes.

thanks but 4 some reason the only 2 stable res i can use are 1280 720p and 1024 768, any clues???

oh and my graphics card is a x850pro by ati and i just recently updated my drivers.

You should be able to choose 1360x768, the 9xxx series ATI had that option. Open up CCC and fiddle with primary/secondary and selecting the different resolution. The HDTV resolution (1080i, 720p) was in a seperate area. Managed to select 1360x768. You want to go to this page in CCC..

just tryed it and was completely unstable, i should mention that i live in aus and that my tv model is the oz version of the 9986,which is the 9966/79,is the tv faulty,thanks
